Chemical Safety - Training


Hazard Communication/Right-to-Know Training

Employers must provide information and training to their employees about the hazardous chemicals to which they may be exposed in the workplace.

Laboratory employees are required to receive this training on an annual basis, while other employees receive it on a biennial schedule.

This training is required by the OSHA Hazard Communication Standard.

Hazardous Waste Awareness Training

The Refresher for this training is available online.

This training is required on an annual basis for anyone who generates or has the potential to generate hazardous waste. Hazardous Waste Awareness Training is mandated under EPA regulation 40 CFR 265.
